Your part files are your business. This page says exactly what we do with them and what we never do. Last updated 2026-09-04.
Your geometry is never used for anything else
The files you upload, the parts we extract from them and the nests you produce are used for one thing: producing your nest and your exports. We do not sell them, share them, train anything on them, or look at them unless you ask us to help with a specific file.
Where your files go
Uploads go straight from your browser to our file storage. The nesting itself runs in your browser: the server never needs your geometry to solve a nest. It stores your project, its files and its results so you can come back to them.
How long we keep them
On a day pass your project expires with the pass, and your exports stay downloadable for 7 days after that. On Pro you choose a file retention of 24 hours, 30 days, 90 days or keep forever, per account. Wherever a countdown applies the app shows a "deletes on" date, so a deletion is never a surprise.
Delete on demand
Delete a project and its files are gone: the source files, the extracted parts and the nests. Deletion is not a flag in a database that keeps the bytes around.
One copy exists outside the app: a nightly backup on a second storage provider, kept so that a bug in our own cleanup can never destroy your work. A file you delete yourself leaves that backup on the next nightly run; a file removed by your retention setting leaves it 30 days later. Nothing else is ever made from your geometry.
What we do record
To find and fix files that fail to import, we record the outcome of each import (success, healed or failed, with the reason) together with anonymised statistics such as entity counts and file size. That record contains no geometry. If an import fails, we may ask your permission to keep that file as a regression test; without a yes, we do not.
We use product analytics to understand how the app is used and to see errors before you report them.
Accounts and payment
Sign-in is by email link or Google; we keep your email address and the sign-in provider. Card details go to our payment provider and never touch our servers.
